 History of the American International

 Supreme Council

 

 

On November 30, 1864, in the city of New York, Baron Auguste Hugo de Bulow, Sovereign Grand Inspector General, and an active member of the Supreme Council of France, A.A.S.R., organized a Supreme council of the State of New York, which title was subsequently changed to the Supreme Council of Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, of the 33rd and last degree of the A.A.S.R. for the United States of America, its territories and dependencies. The officers were as follows:

 

*    Baron August Hugo de Bulow - Sovereign Grand Commander

*    Patrick Reason - Lieutenant Grand Commander

*    Dr. Peter W. Ray - Adjoint Lieut. Grand Commander

*    Ramson Wake - Grand Orator                                                                                            

*   George Lawrence - Grand Secretary

*   Alexander Peters - Master of Ceremonies

 

Baron Auguste Hugo de Bulow served as Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council from 1864 to 1870; from 1870 to 1879, Patrick Reason; from 1879 to 1892, Dr. Peter W. Ray, he being recorded as the third Sovereign Grand Commander; from 1892 to 1897, A.B. Allen; from 1897 to 1911, D.F. Seville; from 1911 to 1920, H.M. Rennick; from 1920 to 1948, Dr. W.H. Benderson; from 1948 to 1973, Dr. Wm. J. Fitzpatrick; from 1973 to 1989, Illustrious John H. Burns; from 1989 to 1995, Illustrious  James M. Boone; in 1995 there  was a split and the Supreme Council of America was formed the Illustrious Roy L. Prince served as Sovereign Grand Commander in 1996 there was a split and the King Cyrus Supreme Council, was formed  Illustrious Glesner Jones served as Sovereign Grand Commander in 2008 five Inspectors General, 33rd degree formed American International Supreme Council the Illustrious Thomas Wells served as Sovereign Grand Commander 2008 to 2012 in 2012 to present  Illustrious George T. Zarebski, Sr.  M.P.S.G.C.

The American International supreme council of the Sovereign Grand Inspector-Generals of the A.A.S.R.; 33rd Degree for North America its Grand Orient in El Dorado, AR The term which this council is organized is Perpetual. The purpose of this Council is to institute Lodges, organize Lodges of Perfection, Chapters of the Rose Croix, and the Councils of the Knights of Kodosh; Consistories and Grand Consistories of the 32nd Degree and to confer the 33rd Degree.To use as a jurisprudence guide, the Constitutions and Regulations of 1762 and 1786. To do such acts for the advancement and betterment of the Order. Also to buy, own or rent, real and personal property to be used for the purpose of holding said meetings for the Order. To authorize the purchase and use of real and personal property by said State Grand Councils for the same purpose. But, at no time to seize or demand such property purchased and owned by said State Grand Councils; unless there be a financial encumbrance owed to the American National Supreme council for said property.

Each of the states within the Masonic Jurisdiction has an Active Member designated as a "Deputy," who is the executive officer for the Rite within his state. He is supported by the remaining Active Members of the state. There is at least one Active Member in addition to the Deputy in each state.
